Description
A detailed and very attractive vintage Yemenite necklace. It is very heavy as the beads appear to be solid rather than hollow. The main beads have traditional decorative forms and they are spaced with open work beads of a caged design. The clasp is stamped 925 for sterling silver. The beads seem to indicate a little lower standard than this. It is also marked to the clasp, possibly AIA which may be the makers mark. It has a hook clasp fixing and they probably date to the mid 20th century.
Please note it is significantly heavier than usual for a necklace, please consider this if you are purchasing to wear it.
