Vintage Cold Painted Bronze Budgies Set on Scottish Green Onyx Dish with Label (Code 2718)

Description

A vintage green onyx dish set with cold painted bronze budgies on a branch.  This Scottish piece is likely a little later than the Austrian examples and it is probably mid-century in period.  There is nice detail to the birds as you can see in the close-up images.  It retains a paper sticker to the side of the dish.

The base is covered in leather which does have some wear, there are no marks to the figures which I can find.  The dished area is quite small and shallow so could be a pin dish, for stamps or small bonbons etc.  Nice to find a Scottish example.

Condition

Onyx good for period, some slight edge nibbles and two chips at the corners to the base.  Wear to the paint on the figures with the metal showing through.  The green and blue paint may have been refreshed as it appears more complete that the other colours.
