Description
An Art Deco Bohemian garnet cabochon necklace. It features a central dropper with large 10mm x 8mm garnet cabochon surrounded by a halo of semi faceted cabochons. This is flanked by further clusters leading to single cabochons at the terminal. It is marked 333 to the spring ring and connector, this is for 8 carat gold which was used for a relatively short period during the early 20th century. These items are usually found in silver and it is quite unusual to find a gold example. The mountings are quite heavy and much thicker than required giving this a quality feel.
This necklace comes from the same group as the Reid & Sons items with provenance which we have at time of listing.
