Victorian Antique Tall Bistro Style Rummer Drinking Glass with Stem c1850 (Code 2428)
Description
A mid 19th century stemmed rummer glass. It is in the bistro style with a much taller stem than usual, the bowl is still of generous proportions as expected for a rummer. It is made from soda glass of a good standard for the period with the impurities being very low for the type. It dates from around 1840-60 and could just be early enough to be William IV. It would make a good period glass for fine ales.
