Sterling Silver Bonbon/Sweets Dish With Pierced Work - Vintage 1948 (Code A471)

Description

A delightful vintage silver bonbon dish.  It is a cast rather than pressed example and has pierced work with acanthus scrolls and birds around the rim.  The centre features a selection of fruits with further fruit detail around the margin.  It has an import hallmark for Birmingham 1948 and there is also a further mark of B&Co which would be the importer.  As this is a cast piece it is quite substantial and heavy for its size.

A lovely little dish for the collector or to use.
