Description

A pair of antique solid sterling silver vases in the Art Nouveau style and anticipating the emerging Art Deco movement.  They are of twin handled design with the handles bifurcating at the lower terminal.  The bodies have stylised petals layered upwards stopping just short of the half way point.  The rims are everted in a gentle trumpet form.  Both vases are hallmarked for the Birmingham assay office and with the date letter for 1911.  The makers mark is not fully readable.  
 
 

Condition

Generally very good for period.  A couple of small indents to the rims.  No major knocks / splits etc.  Hallmarks a little rubbed, one is better than the other.  They have been kept relatively well polished by the previous owner as can be seen.
