Georgian English Lead Glass Rummer with Lemon Squeezer Foot - Antique c1800 (Code 2172)
Description
A very nicely produced late George III period rummer with a conical bowl and large lemon squeezer foot. This bowl and foot combination is quite unusual and dates around 1800. It is made from good quality English lead glass and has capacity plenty large enough to use today should you wish to do so. The foot is very thick giving extra stability and making it difficult to knock over. A lovely example of the style.
Condition
Due to the vulnerability of square feet these examples almost always have damage. This example does have some minor chips at the corners and a small bruise at one edge but it is much better than the average. The bowl is very good with very few signs of wear or scratches, it does have some nice striation lines from production.
