Description
A late 19th century Victorian period scarf pin or brooch set with a butterfly. The butterfly has opal cabochons and seed pearls with a small central red glass gem. The pin to the reverse is stamped rolled gold and it has a safety chain as you can see in the images. It dates to the end of the 19th century.

Weight: 3.5 grams (before packing)
Condition: Some wear to the metal as expected for period. Top of the red gem is chipped. Soldering of the butterfly to the pin is a bit clunky so may have been redone.
