Antique Victorian Nailsea Glass Pull Up White Loop Flask Shaped Vase c1860 (Code 0677)
Description
A 19th century Nailsea loop glass vase. It is in the shape of a flask and has compressed sides, but is too large and impractical to be used as a flask, although I suppose it could be used as a decanter at a pinch. It is in clear glass and has white pulled up (sometimes called feathering) loops. The pontil to the base has been ground out but left un polished. This style of decoration is synonymous with Nailsea and it likely dates from around 1850-70.
