Description
An antique Victorian period vulcanite mourning necklace. It is composed of canted diamond links with twin holes set in opposing directions. It has the original J hook which is quite unusual as they have usually snapped. This connects to the final join ring to work as the closure. Vulcanite became a popular alternative to jet during the late 19th century. It generally goes olive green when exposed to sunlight. Some of the links are going green on this example and the joining rings are the most obviously green.

Condition: Some areas going green as expected and minor period wear. Link joints visible as normal. Generally a good example.
