Description
A fabulous Victorian gold and turquoise Etruscan revival style brooch. It has fine mill grain detail and a triple rope twist border. It is set with fine quality turquoise cabochons which are almost certainly Persian with a large centre 'blackberry' domed cluster. There are no makers marks which is typical for these pieces, however the metal tests as 15ct gold. It has a standard hinge and pin closure and is also fitted with a safety chain as visible in the images.

Condition: Very good for period with little sign of wear to the face. Some of the turquoise cabochons have natural striation lines etc. A particularly fine example.
