Description

An antique sterling silver frame with a Sheffield hallmark for 1913 and makers mark for James Deakin & Sons.  The frame is of landscape form with an oval opening.  Both the edge of the frame and the opening have an egg and dash pattern. There is a glass panel in front of the image.   The wood to the reverse is ebonised and there is a fold out stand.  The image currently in place is an old cut out from a magazine or similar, it is easily replaced with your own image.  The oval opening is approx. 19cm wide by 9.2cm high at the largest points. The hallmark is nice and clear and to the front of the frame. 
 

Condition

Some period wear as expected with light scratches.  A few small indents to the raised detail around the edges. Hinged stand working fine.  Hallmarks clear.
