Description

A double sovereign case with Chester hallmark for 1900.  The makers mark is not well struck but is possibly WN. The holders will fit full sized sovereigns and are the usual spring loaded type with engine turned detail to the top.  The main hallmark is to the inside of the case lid and there are repeat marks on the holders.  The outer case has a chased ananthus scroll design and there is a vacant round cartouche to the top.  There is a suspension loop for attaching to a chain etc. 
 
 

Condition

Generally good.  The odd minor indent but nothing significant.  Latch and hinge fine.  Springs fine.
