Description

A very nicely produced early 20th century solid brass figure of a Greco-Roman woman.  Possibly intended as a goddess such as Persephone or Demeter.  It has a foundry cast signature to the base A Richard with the A & R conjoined.  The base is in black marble and polished.  The surface has been very well finished and there is lots of detail as you can see.  It dates to the early 20th century and the figure is connected to the plinth with an old square cut nut and rod.  The figure has been kept relatively well polished and has patina and polish residue in the crevices giving that authentic aged look. 
 

Condition

Base plinth with some wear and chips as can be seen.  Figure very good with some polish residue.
