Antique French La Rochelle Faience Pottery Plate Chinese Figures in Blue/Manganese (2936)

Description
An 18th century French faience glazed plate by the La Rochelle pottery. It dates around 1775 (Louis XVI). The plate has a wave edge and is decorated in a grey/blue cobalt with manganese outlining. It features two Chinese style figures in a landscape, one is leaning and holding a large bird. There is a sunburst design with face above.
A near identical plate can be found in the Victoria & Albert Museum, Kensington, London. The item is on display in Ceramics, Room 137 (The Curtain Foundation Gallery). It is also in their online archives, accession number C.38-1960.
Aside the example in the V&A we have been unable to find another example of this design referenced elsewhere or having been sold through the art markets, so ownership will be a very exclusive club!
Condition
Some glaze scrapes and chips around the rim. Scratches to the face, wear to the reverse. No cracks nor restoration. Much better than usually found for the type/period.
