Description

An Edwardian period small cigarette case with Birmingham hallmark for 1901.  It is of slightly curved form for the pocket and would take mini cigars as it is quite deep for its size.  It has a gold wash internally and two elastic straps.  The open ends of the elastics have not been sewn.  To the exterior it is chased with an acanthus design and there is a diagonal plain strip across the front.  The opening is spring loaded and the clasp is working fine. 
 
 

Condition

Very good for period with minor wear.  One small pin head sized dent to corner shown in close up.
