Description
An early 20th century antique Chinese vesta case. It is of cast form and has the detail in quite high relief comprising bamboo, leaves and stems along with a bird on each side. To the base is a strike plate with ridged detail. It has a spring type opening which is working fine. There are no makers marks which is common for these items and it is in the style of Wang Hing. It tests as silver, slightly below the sterling standard.
Condition
Minor wear as expected. Hinge working well. Oxidised to interior. No significant faults.
