Antique 14ct Gold & Carved Coral Rose Ring With Decorative Fronds Size O 1/2 (Code A428)

Description

A fabulous gold ring in the form of textured coral branches wrapping around a rose carved from salmon coloured coral.  The fronds are arranged to be the claws for the coral.  Note how the coral has been carved with the white central area providing the focal point for the flower.  The ring is quite sizeable and it is certainly going to be noticed.  There are some traces of marks inside the band, however these are too rubbed to read due to wear over the years.  The gold tests as 14 carat and the ring is probably early 20th Century in period.  A gorgeous and rare piece.
