Description
A lovely Art Nouveau copper jug with stylised tulip forms dating around 1905. It was made by Joseph Sankey of Bilston and has their impressed mark to the base along with the registered design number. The lid has a domed top which has a planished finish. The lid is hinged and has a thumb lift which is riveted as is the handle. A lovely looking stylish piece of desirable Art Nouveau design.
Condition
Some knocks and dents with some deformation around the base skirt. It has been kept largely polished although this is starting to fade and there is some verdigris build up in the crevices. Lid holds slightly ajar.
