Description
A pair of late 19th century drop earrings. They date to the Victorian period circa 1880. They are of hollow construction and formed from two halves and joined together. The design is quite elaborate with a faceted column and then a lapidary style central ring. There are no marks at all, however they test as 9 carat gold. They are fitted ears wires which are fitted with a catch for additional safety. Due to their hollow nature these rarely survive so are increasingly scarce and difficult to obtain.

Condition: Some indents to the faceted widest part on one earring. The same earring has a small crease near the join with the ear wire. Minor period wear as expected. Kept clean and bright by previous owners.
